Live Bluegrass On The Stage
We're proud to bring some of the best bluegrass bands in Colorado to the Wiggins Park Amphitheater stage for you to enjoy!
Thunder and Rain
Thunder and Rain blends rock, pop, and country sounds into bluegrass acoustics. They create a sound that is accessible to music fans both young and old. Named #1 Bluegrass band of 2016 by the Denver Westward!
A bluegrass, Americana band, Rusty 44 is allegiant to the genre's roots and leans into the grandfathers of bluegrass, such as the Stanley Brothers and Bill Monroe.
The Hummin’Birds go back in time and pull nectar from earlier eras in American music to deliver an easygoing performance, mixing old time Appalachian tunes with country, bluegrass, gospel, and swing.
100th Birthday of the Old Trail Schoolhouse
Constructed in 1917 the Old Trail School is today the only completely original one room school house in Morgan County. After being moved multiple times the school house was relocated to its present location on High Street across from the Wiggins Community Park. In 2004 the Historical Group applied for and was granted a listing for the Old Trail School on the National Register of Historic Places.
To celebrate the 100th Birthday of the Schoolhouse the Wiggins Historical Group will be hosting tours of the school, reenactments, and activities such as churning butter, making homemade ice cream, and playing old fashioned games!
Keep an eye out for the mini-Old Trail School House in the Wiggins 4th of July Parade!
